What You’ll Do
As the Founding Engineer at PointOne, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of an innovative startup that leverages AI to automate time tracking and bill review for law firms. This role is not just about coding; it's about building a product from the ground up and steering the company towards success.
Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: You will own and ship products that meet the needs of our customers. This involves everything from initial concept to deployment.
- Customer Interaction: Engage directly with customers via Slack/Teams, video, and phone calls to understand their needs and prioritize development efforts accordingly.
- Rapid Prototyping and Development: Implement new features and enhancements with a focus on speed and quality. We deploy new code multiple times per day.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve system issues as they arise, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Leadership: As a founding member of the team, you will help shape the company’s vision and culture. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the company through its early stages.
Our Tech Stack
- Serverless Architecture: Our backend is built entirely on AWS using Go microservices.
- Frontend Development: We use React and Typescript to create responsive and efficient client applications across various platforms.
- Innovation: We are constantly exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance our product offerings, such as RAG pipelines for automated billing.
Day in the Life
A typical day might start with a strategic meeting with a partner law firm to discuss integration needs, followed by hands-on coding to implement a new feature. Midday might involve troubleshooting a performance issue, and the day could end with a team dinner to unwind and discuss future plans.
