We are excited to announce an opening for a Founding Engineer at Artie, a pioneering company in real-time database replication based in San Francisco. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a small, dynamic team that is making significant strides in the software development industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop new functionalities for our customer dashboard, including column exclusion and schema change alerts.
- Launch and manage our analytics portal.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their core pain points and collaborate on feature requests.
- Implement new database types as sources or destinations.
- Set up new data planes in various regions using AWS or GCP with tools like Terraform and Helm.
About Artie
Artie leverages advanced technologies such as Kafka and change data capture (CDC) to ensure efficient data transfer between databases and data warehouses, significantly reducing latency. Since launching our cloud product a year ago, we have processed billions of rows per month and continue to grow rapidly.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong fundamentals in computer science or a related field.
- Experience with scaling asynchronous systems.
- Proficiency in Go (preferred), TypeScript, and familiarity with infrastructure tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Practical and results-oriented, with a focus on delivering the right solutions.
- Ability to adapt quickly and wear multiple hats within the team.
