Job Description
As a Founding AI Backend Engineer at SafetyKit, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our technology. This role involves:
- Developing and maintaining web scrapers, document ingestors, and LLM evaluation tools to ensure they are fast and reliable.
- Experimenting with and deploying new AI technologies as soon as they are available, such as new open-source vision models that outperform current standards.
- Working closely with a dynamic team in our San Francisco office to rapidly integrate these technologies into our product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend systems using TypeScript.
- Optimize and maintain database interactions with SQL and Postgres.
- Utilize AWS services like Lambda and Step Functions for scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with the team to invent and ship features that allow for instant user integration.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with SQL and Postgres.
- Experience with AWS services.
- Ability to work onsite in San Francisco.
Bonus Points
- Experience as an early or founding engineer in a startup.
- Familiarity with language models and vision models.
