Front End Engineer with JavaScript and TypeScript

The AWS Industry Products (AIP) team is seeking a talented Front End Engineer to join our innovative team. We work directly with strategic customers to develop industry-specific products that transform industries at AWS scale. Key Responsibilities

• Customer-Centric Development: Work backwards from customer needs, collaborating with product, UX, and other stakeholders to define and deliver highly scalable technical solutions with intuitive interfaces that delight customers.
• Full Software Development Lifecycle: Own the full software development lifecycle from design, implementation, testing, deploying, and operating the product at scale.
• Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, describe product features, review technical designs, and more.
• Mentorship and Hiring: Participate in the hiring process and mentor others, improving their skills and knowledge of your software, and increasing the team’s productivity.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web, or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 1+ years of experience with computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with agile software development methodology.
• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
