About the Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Front End Engineer to join the AppStream 2.0 team. AppStream 2.0 is a fully managed application streaming service that provides users with secure, reliable, and scalable access to applications and non-persistent desktops from any location. As a Senior Front End Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that enhance the user experience and operational efficiency of our application streaming services.
Key Responsibilities
- Dive deep into complex technical problems, driving incremental system optimizations and raising the bar for operational excellence and development practices.
- Enhance the skills and expertise of those around you, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for AppStream 2.0.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the application streaming platform, leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and SWF.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA, with opportunities to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges from €129,300 to €223,600 per year, depending on experience and location. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive benefits package.
