Front-End Engineer II, AWS IDEs, Cloudshell

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Front-End Engineer to join our AWS CloudShell team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As a Front-End Engineer, you will be responsible for developing user interfaces for AWS CloudShell, ensuring a high standard of branding and design to enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Web Development: Utilize your expertise in web development to create delightful user interfaces for our customers.
Collaboration: Work in a cooperative team environment, collaborating with other engineers, product managers, and UX designers across the organization.
Operational Excellence: Enhance our operational excellence by continuously measuring and improving the performance, security, and availability of the products owned by your team.
Innovation: Contribute to setting the long-term vision, exploring new opportunities, and experimenting with the latest front-end technologies.
Customer Interaction: Engage with our customers to understand their needs and provide support.
Mentorship: Participate in the hiring process and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Professional experience in front-end, web, or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with agile software development methodologies.
Familiarity with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
