Full Stack Software Engineer - Platform Solutions
About the Role
Join TUI, a leading global travel and leisure experience company, as a Full Stack Software Engineer in our Platform Solutions team. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for building a new TUI Corporate Document Archive using AWS technologies. Your role will involve developing software products with a broad toolkit of technologies and methods, with a strong DevSecOps mindset, covering the entire software development cycle from design to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a new document archive and store documents relevant to TUI within legal guidelines using AWS technologies.
- Demonstrate state-of-the-art software development practices and a strong DevSecOps mindset.
- Work in an agile environment, contributing to the design, building, testing, and deployment of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to own software products from conception to operation.
- Strive for high automation, clean architectures, and high quality with a customer-centric mindset.
- Work in a cloud environment, especially AWS, and develop resilient and high-performing cloud-native applications.
- Research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes, and tools.
About You
- Strong expertise in modern languages like Python and JavaScript, and their ecosystems and tooling.
- Proven track record in cloud design, infrastructure as code, and AWS services.
- Experience with implementing resource-oriented APIs (REST, GraphQL) on client and server sides.
- Expertise in web application frameworks like Vue.js and Angular.
- Profound knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and UI design principles.
- Good understanding of front-end performance aspects, analysis, and optimization.
- Experience with data persistence (SQL/NoSQL) and CI/CD, preferably GitLab CI.
- Customer-centric with a passion for delivering great digital products and services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
- Open-minded, inquisitive, and a lifelong learner.
