If so, AWS is looking for you to join our team as a GenAI Account Manager for Startups.
About the Role
Startups, primarily born-in-the-cloud, are a crucial and growing subset of AWS customers. They have unique needs and growth trajectories that require different engagement strategies and sales motions. As a GenAI Account Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new startups, driving complex engagements and transactions, and ultimately growing your customers' presence on the AWS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Management: Identify and acquire high-potential GenAI startups.
- Value Proposition Selling: Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services to differentiate in a competitive landscape.
- Deal Shaping and Closure: Lead complex deal shaping, pricing, negotiation, and closure.
- Pipeline Management: Drive pipeline and deal velocity across a territory of GenAI customers.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical (GenAI).
- Account Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive account/territory plan to manage and grow numerous accounts concurrently.
- Customer Adoption: Accelerate customer adoption of AWS GenAI services.
- Partner Collaboration: Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption.
About You
You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment. You have experience in commercial deal shaping and closure, GTM differentiation/execution, and working across senior, complex customer and internal stakeholders. You are comfortable delivering results amid ambiguity and change.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in GenAI and AIML services and commercial transactions.
- IT/Tech/Cloud sales experience in closing new business and carrying quota.
- Proven track record of consistent customer growth and quota achievement in IT sales.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling cloud solutions at a technology company.
- Knowledge of core cloud computing concepts including compute, storage, database, and higher-order capabilities like microservices, analytics, serverless, and machine learning.
- A technical or educational background in engineering or computer science.
- History of working for, or selling to, tech startups.
