Lead Software Engineer

Role Overview

LSEG is looking for a highly motivated developer to join and play a leading role in building the next-generation applications for professionals in financial markets using the latest front-end technology stack.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features with good quality, performance, reusable code, and libraries for future use.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in agile development practices, requirement reviews, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Work as a team, being flexible, proactive, well-organized, and focused on objectives with high standards and quality.
• Seek out new technologies and ideas to contribute to our products or processes.
• Guide junior team members.

Required Skills

• Professional experience in software development.
• Experience in front-end and web technologies.
• Experience in multi-tier web architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience building modern JavaScript and TypeScript applications.
• Familiarity with Angular or React frameworks is a plus.
• Familiarity with Node.js and web server technologies.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience with browser tuning and optimization techniques/tools.
• Familiarity with web standards and protocols such as HTTP and socket APIs.
• Experience in Continuous Development.
