About the Role
LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is seeking a highly motivated Lead Software Engineer to join our team in Bucharest, Romania. This role is pivotal in building next-generation applications for professionals in the financial markets using the latest front-end technology stack.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop new user-facing features with high quality, performance, reusable code, and libraries for future use.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Participate in agile development practices, requirement reviews, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Work collaboratively in a team, being flexible, proactive, well-organized, and focused on objectives with high standards and quality.
- Seek out new technologies and ideas to contribute to our products or processes.
- Guide junior team members.
Required Skills
- Professional experience in software development.
- Experienced in Front-end and web technologies.
- Experienced in multi-tiers web architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building modern JavaScript/TypeScript or shared component libraries.
- Familiar with Node.JS, Web Server technologies.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experienced with browser tuning and optimization techniques/tools.
- Familiar with web standards and protocols such as HTTP and socket APIs in general.
- Experienced in SVN or GIT.
- Experienced in Continuous Development.
