Job Overview
Fearless is seeking a Part-time Data Scientist II with expertise in Python and Machine Learning to join our team. This role involves building algorithms, data modeling, and creating data-driven solutions to solve customer business problems. You will partner with customers to perform statistical analysis and build machine learning models, supporting prototypes and scalable production solutions.
Responsibilities
Organizational and Leadership Role
- Coach and mentor others in machine learning and artificial intelligence skills.
- Take initiative for personal growth through leadership.
- Strengthen our Data Science community and practice.
Functional Role
- Guide teams in evaluating customer needs and advising on AI benefits and risks.
- Facilitate customer understanding of AI impacts on their operating model.
- Develop custom data models, algorithms, and predictive models for multifaceted analysis.
- Build and maintain predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business problems and deliver insightful analysis.
- Conduct regular data analysis to understand customer behaviors.
- Support teams in running growth programs and A/B tests.
- Research industry trends and advise customers on applicable solutions.
Project-specific Contributions
- Lead the design and development of recommendation algorithms and predictive models.
- Develop and refine NLP models for text data extraction and categorization.
- Utilize numpy, pandas, and scripts for handling large datasets.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate machine learning models.
- Deploy machine learning models on AWS using services like S3, EC2, Lambda, and SageMaker.
Must-Have Skills
- Minimum of 8 years of related working experience.
- Extensive experience in Python, particularly in developing machine learning and NLP models.
- Strong expertise in numpy, pandas, and/or scipy for data analysis.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning, with a strong track record of developing recommendation systems.
- Extensive experience with AWS for deploying and managing machine learning models.
- Proficiency with deep learning tools and at least one machine learning tool like Hadoop, Apache Spark, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
Highly Desired Skills
- BS in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Understanding of software architecture and full-stack development.
Location
This position offers remote work options, with our offices located in Baltimore, Maryland.
Employment Type
This is a part-time position, requiring 20 hours per week.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is €90,015 to €144,024 per year, depending on location and experience.
