Job Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Microservices Developer to join our client's team, focusing on designing and implementing microservices architecture for their applications. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining scalable microservices, ensuring seamless integration and communication between services. Your duties will include writing clean, efficient code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing performance. This role requires a commitment of 10-20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architecture for various applications.
- Develop, test, and deploy scalable and efficient microservices.
- Ensure seamless integration and communication between microservices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, QA engineers, and product managers.
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in developing microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and gRPC.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
