Job Overview
Join Deutsche Bundesbank as a Cloud Migration Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in the tactical planning and operationalization of cloud migration projects. You will work closely with product teams to steer cloud migrations of medium complexity, providing consultation and support to various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Migration Management: Lead the migration of applications to a hybrid cloud environment, managing dependencies, risks, and impediments in a complex system landscape.
- Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement of the migration factory processes.
- Service Compatibility: Ensure new cloud-oriented services are compatible with existing systems, focusing on modernization and development.
- Technical Implementation: Oversee the adherence to strategy, architecture, and security guidelines (Secure-by-design) in the technical implementation of services.
- Efficiency Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud implementations for technical and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Azure Cloud Services and other cloud providers. Strong understanding of IT architecture, platforms, and solutions, particularly in cloud computing.
- Software Development: Proficient in modern infrastructure and system provisioning concepts, including CI/CD environments, container platforms, and various cloud models.
- Programming Skills: Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, and R.
- Agile Methodologies: Strong knowledge of agile methods in IT engineering.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and conceptual abilities, with strong communication and conflict management skills.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
