Are you passionate about quantum computing and its application in material modelling? VTT, one of Europe's leading applied research organizations, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our ProperTune Integration team. This is a fixed-term, three-year position starting in January 2025, located in Espoo, Finland.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:

• Conduct world-class research in quantum algorithms and their application to material science problems.
• Advance the use of quantum computing in specified material development projects.
• Collaborate with research teams and project groups, contributing to co-writing and project work.
• Actively participate in dissemination through journal publications and seminars.
• Supervise or tutor junior team members.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a quantum computing expert familiar with materials modelling or a material modeller (ICME) familiar with quantum computing. You should have:

• A doctoral degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a closely related field, obtained within the last five years.
• Experience in the quantum computing research field and knowledge of utilizing quantum algorithms for material science problems.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
