Are you passionate about quantum computing and its application in material modelling? VTT, one of Europe's leading applied research organizations, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our ProperTune Integration team. This is a fixed-term, three-year position starting in January 2025, located in Espoo, Finland.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:

Conduct world-class research in quantum algorithms and their application to material science problems.
Advance the use of quantum computing in specified material development projects.
Collaborate with research teams and project groups, contributing to co-writing and project work.
Actively participate in dissemination through journal publications and seminars.
Supervise or tutor junior team members.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a quantum computing expert familiar with materials modelling or a material modeller (ICME) familiar with quantum computing. You should have:

A doctoral degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a closely related field, obtained within the last five years.
Experience in the quantum computing research field and knowledge of utilizing quantum algorithms for material science problems.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
