About the Role

As a Senior Back-End Developer at Bikemap, you will:

Develop and Maintain Core Systems: Take responsibility for the development, documentation, and maintenance of the core Bikemap code base. Your work will interface with our Android and iOS apps as well as our web frontend.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with designers and product specialists to bring exciting new use cases for cyclists to life.
Innovate and Challenge: Engage in new projects and ideas, challenging yourself and others to push the boundaries of what's possible.
Code Review and Quality Assurance: Review pull requests from other developers, ensuring code readability and future-proofing.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: 3+ years of relevant professional experience in developing web applications.
Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of Python and Django, with experience in RESTful API design, pytest, and PostgreSQL. Familiarity with Django REST Framework, Geo Django, Elasticsearch, NGINX, Redis, and Jenkins is a plus.
Problem Solving: An eye for perfection and a balanced form of perfectionism. You should have a positive can-do attitude and the ability to work independently.
Communication: Very good English skills are required.
Additional Skills: Experience with GIS tools or maps is a plus. Basic Linux skills and experience with managing web infrastructure, preferably in AWS, are also beneficial.

Compensation

The gross monthly salary for this position, according to the IT Collective Agreement in job grade ST1, is at least €3,077 (paid 14 times per year). With relevant experience and qualifications, an overpayment is possible.
