Aleph is on a mission to redefine the world of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with a cutting-edge platform that centralizes financial data for businesses. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Platform/Infrastructure team. This is a unique opportunity to be an early member of our engineering team and have a significant impact on our platform's development.
About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work closely with our technical leadership, including the CEO and CTO, to design and develop critical software components. Your work will focus on moving and transforming data, both internally and through our 3rd party integrations. You will be responsible for improving the performance of our current systems and extending them to integrate with new systems and provide new features.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership and team members to prioritize and execute on our product roadmap.
- Design, develop, and own complex features or software components.
- Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code.
- Help develop and establish best practices for a high-performing technology team.
- Collaborate with Design and Operations teams to enhance Aleph's platform.
- Build observability into our systems and monitor their performance.
Who You Are
- You have 5+ years of backend software engineering experience, particularly in Python.
- You have expertise in infrastructure management and observability.
- You are experienced with data management, including queues, databases, and synchronization.
- You have experience working with third-party APIs.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can operate autonomously.
- You are product-driven and eager to meet customers to understand their needs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range for US candidates: €134,000 - €193,000.
- Salary range for LATAM candidates: €70,000 - €139,000.
