Job Overview
Raisin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Berlin. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in the development and expansion of our online banking system. You will work alongside an international team of top developers, providing core services and high-quality solutions for our large-scale online platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our online banking system using Java and related technologies.
- Integrate externally developed components into existing application environments.
- Set standards, establish guidelines, and share best practices to ensure continuous learning and development within the team.
- Perform strong code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, business rules, performance, and security standards.
- Collaborate with the team to negotiate and document standards and practices in software development.
- Research and propose multiple alternative technical solutions when possible.
- Assume end-to-end ownership of team projects' delivery.
- Actively manage technical documentation and technical debt within the team.
- Participate in the hiring process through techfit interviews and tech challenge reviews.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of development experience as a Java software developer.
- Proficient in managing software projects to successful delivery in a collaborative environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle in a Java-technology landscape.
- Comfortable with open code and architecture discussions.
- Experience with AWS Services, Kubernetes (K8S), Event Driven architecture (Kafka and ActiveMQ), Spring Boot, SQL, and NoSQL.
- Fluency in English.
