About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our innovative team at Nostos Genomics. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge genetic diagnostics platform, AION. Your primary responsibilities will include building and enhancing the backend, API, and cloud architecture to support high-quality services for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable and robust backend systems.
- Design and implement API solutions to integrate with various systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including genomics, data science, and product teams.
- Lead technical design and architecture from planning to delivery.
- Implement automated testing, continuous integration, and ensure high code standards.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Docker environments, and monitoring solutions.
Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development.
- Proficient in Python and experience with Linux based systems.
- Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD practices, and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of SQLAlchemy, Alembic, and Terraform.
- Experience with FastAPI or similar Python-based web frameworks.
