Senior BI Tech Lead with Power BI Expertise

Job Overview

Lingaro is seeking a Senior BI Tech Lead to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in leading data visualization projects and designing complex solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the IT industry, particularly in creating reports and dashboards with Power BI, and will be responsible for educating junior team members and staying updated on product developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead on data visualization projects.
• Design and implement complex solutions leveraging Microsoft Power BI.
• Educate and mentor junior resources.
• Stay updated on product improvements/releases and collaborate with internal teams.
• Participate in the entire solution implementation process, from pre-sales activities to the design and development of reports and dashboards.

Requirements

Must Have

• 8-10 years of experience in the IT industry.
• 4-5 years of experience with Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query M language.
• Knowledge of SSAS, Azure Analysis Services, and Power BI Premium Gen 2.
• Experience in data modeling, performance tuning, and requirements gathering.
• Hands-on experience with different connectivity modes (import, direct, live).
• Experience with PBI workspaces maintenance and administration.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience in delivering end-to-end solutions from requirements gathering to maintenance.
• Strong leadership skills.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform (Data Factory, Data Lake, Analysis Services, Tabular Models) or other cloud solutions (Snowflake, GCP, AWS).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate).
• Experience with other BI tools (Looker, Tableau).
• Knowledge of databases (MS SQL, Oracle or similar).
