Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with expertise in Python to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time, remote position, and we are looking for someone fluent in Dutch or Flemish, with at least a B2 level in English.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using Python, Django, and REST APIs.
- Solve complex design challenges in the European energy market, focusing on domain modeling and robust software development.
- Work with smart meter data, processing millions of readings daily, and integrate with machine learning pipelines.
- Collaborate with a global team of engineers, UX experts, and designers to deliver innovative solutions.
- Utilize AWS and the "Hashistack" (Packer, Consul, Terraform) for continuous deployment and infrastructure management.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Python development.
- Proficiency in Django or equivalent web frameworks.
- Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and domain modeling.
- Experience with Celery for asynchronous processing and Postgres for database management.
- Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Packer, and Consul.
- Bonus: Experience with React and Redux.
- Fluency in Dutch or Flemish, and at least a B2 level in English.
