The Role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer who is fluent in Dutch or Flemish to join our team. This is a fully remote position, and we are looking for someone with a strong level of autonomy and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex design challenges in the European energy market, which is known for its complexity and outdated processes.
- Develop robust and fault-tolerant software using Python and Django.
- Work on domain modelling and handle millions of smart meter readings daily.
- Contribute to our machine learning pipeline for consumption prediction.
- Collaborate with a global team of engineers, UX experts, and designers.

- Backend: Python, Django, Django-REST-framework, GraphQL (Graphene)
- Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, Packer, Consul
- Frontend: React, Redux, SASS
- Tools: Google Docs, Asana, Github, CircleCI, Terraform Enterprise, Loggly, Sentry, Cloudwatch
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Python development.
- Experience with Django or equivalent web frameworks.
- Strong understanding of HTTP and REST APIs.
- Experience with Celery and asynchronous processing.
- Proficiency in Postgres.
- Bonus: Experience with AWS, Terraform, Packer, Consul, React, and Redux.
- Fluency in Dutch or Flemish, and at least a B2 level in English.
