Senior Data Scientist - Machine Learning Platform / Data Science Platform Team
About The Role
King, a leading interactive entertainment company, is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science Platform team. This team is part of the Machine Learning platform organization and focuses on providing data scientists in the game teams at King with efficient and reliable tooling to boost their productivity. The role involves catering to the explorative phases of building machine learning models and collaborating with other teams responsible for the later phases of the machine learning life-cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an internal Notebook platform built on top of the open-source Jupyter projects, customized to integrate with other internal tooling.
- Help data scientists establish good workflows for various aspects of their job, such as CI/CD solutions when building internal packages and training on standard methodologies inside King.
- Empower a user base of hundreds of users by building solutions and identifying recommended workflows.
- Integrate both internal and external solutions effectively for our users, using existing open-source and commercial products when possible.
Skills To Create Thrills
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Python.
- Familiarity with the day-to-day life of a Data Scientist / ML Engineer.
- DevOps experience, including CI/CD solutions and infrastructure as code.
- Ability to write services and create reusable libraries.
- Self-starter with a curious and inquisitive mindset.
- Highly collaborative work style, open to sharing knowledge, receiving and giving feedback, and performing code reviews.
- Ability to work independently on complex problems and clearly communicate ideas and solutions.
Additional Skills
- Knowledge in R.
- Experience writing plugins/extensions for JupyterLab.
- SQL and query optimization skills and a good understanding of data modeling techniques.
- Experience with containerizing workloads and running these on Kubernetes (GKE).
- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or any other ML framework.
- Experience with ZenML and/or MLFlow.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, or other cloud computing providers.
