What You'll Do

• Create Statistical and Machine Learning Models: Develop and integrate statistical and machine learning models into our data science applications, focusing on enhancing our American Football models with greater granularity.
• Production Quality Code: Write production-quality code to deploy and run models on our sportsbook platform, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
• Utilize MLOps Platform: Leverage our MLOps platform to train and productionize machine learning models, ensuring they are robust and scalable.
• Automatic Testing: Create automatic tests to ensure model accuracy and reliability, maintaining high standards of quality.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, QAs, and delivery leads to move projects from ideation to development and deployment.
• Data Flow Testing: Ensure that data flows work as expected and that models are well integrated into the larger business context.
• Mentorship: Coach and support junior data scientists within the team, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

What You'll Bring

• Proficiency in Python: Strong experience in Python programming, particularly in building statistical or machine learning models for sports.
• Data Science Expertise: Solid understanding of data science and statistical modeling principles.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Kafka: Familiarity with these technologies is desirable.
• MLOps Knowledge: Understanding of MLOps principles and related tools will be considered an asset.
• Educational Background: PhD, Masters, or Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Passion for Sports: A keen interest in sports and understanding of Sportsbook products is desirable.
