Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our building division on an education project based south of Dublin City. This role is crucial in ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest standards of health, safety, and quality. You will be responsible for setting out information, managing subcontractors, and ensuring that all project targets are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct work in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Implement BAM’s quality control procedures and project-specific procedures.
- Ensure setting-out information is relevant and easily communicated on site.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and design teams.
- Review detailed designs and coordinate the development of design from designer’s details to approved workshop drawings.
- Manage subcontractors and the general workforce on site.
- Plan works efficiently to meet program targets.
- Order and control materials on site.
- Maintain site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors.
- Maximize profit through good self-management, accuracy, and contractual awareness.
Qualifications
- A third-level degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a site engineer.
- Experience working with a main contractor, subcontractor, or surveying firm is preferred.
- Good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactive and driven with a strong desire to make progress.
