About The Role
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will report to the CTO and be a core member of our engineering and product team. In this role, you’ll lead complex technical projects, mentor junior team members, improve velocity through better processes, shape the engineering roadmap, and help define our engineering culture. What You'll Do
- Ship Products: Work on scaling and enhancing our web platform, our flagship product. This involves overseeing the libraries we use, managing the component/design system architecture, and building the most robust testable features.
- Ownership: Collaborate with EPD (engineering/product/design) leads to help shape the roadmap. You’ll also be responsible for writing technical documentation, setting up infrastructure, and organizing engineering tasks.
- Balance Short and Long Term Goals: While knowing the importance of shipping quickly, you also know how to craft thoughtful long-term technical strategies. You know when to address tech debt and when to improve infrastructure and processes (testing, code reviews, CI/CD).
- Enhance Team Effectiveness: Help us implement better processes, refine our interview process, and help define our engineering culture.
- Team Building: Assist in interviewing and recruiting more talented engineers.
- Learn About Startups: Aside from your core work, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in other areas - marketing, growth, ops, etc.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have 4+ years of experience working on complex web applications built with React and TypeScript and a proven track record as a lead developer.
- Hardworking: Understand that building a category-defining company requires people that work smart and also work hard.
- Systems Thinker: Interested in solving problems holistically rather than identifying as a feature or infrastructure engineer.
- Resourceful: A fast learner with a “get things done” mentality.
- User-Focused: Think critically about the implications of what you're building, constantly putting yourself in the shoes of the users.
