Senior Manager, Product Design for Developer Tools

As a Senior Manager of Product Design at Coinbase, you will lead a team dedicated to crafting exceptional developer experiences on our Developer Platform. Your role involves managing a team of 3-5 Product Designers, focusing on creating intuitive and impactful products for developers engaging with blockchain technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage: Guide a team of Product Designers in building developer-centric products. Proactively identify blockers and opportunities, and be involved in all decision-making phases.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to drive and shape product vision and strategy. Ensure resource allocation aligns with company goals for the quarter.
- Mentorship: Foster growth within your team by mentoring other designers and setting creative directions for consumer-facing products across web and mobile platforms.
- Design Excellence: Uphold high standards in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication. Utilize tools like Figma for prototyping and design execution.
- User Research: Drive user research studies to better understand developer needs and integrate insights into product development.
Who You Are
- Experienced Leader: With at least 3 years of experience leading a design team, preferably in a tech-focused environment.
- Developer Tools Savvy: Strong background in designing for developer tools and platforms.
- Effective Communicator: Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication, capable of direct and candid feedback.
- Crypto Enthusiast: Passionate about the crypto space and eager to work in a dynamic, evolving industry.
- Collaborative and Low Ego: Thrive in a team setting where collaboration and low-ego interactions are valued.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with the web3 ecosystem.
- Technical degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Previous programming experience.
