Job Description: Senior Python Developer

Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, test, and delivery.
- Develop web applications using a variety of languages and technologies.
- Facilitate design and architecture brainstorms.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with team members to define and implement solutions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Event-Driven Architecture: Hands-on knowledge of Azure Functions and Azure Service Bus for building scalable, event-driven solutions.
- Integration Skills: Ability to integrate various systems and services using RESTful APIs and other integration techniques.
- Proficiency in building applications using Python code.
- Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript: Proficiency in front-end development for web applications.
- Write basic SQL queries and general knowledge of relational databases.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of troubleshooting issues across different layers of applications and services.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems for collaborative development.
- Agile Development: Experience working in Agile environments, managing tasks, and delivering features iteratively.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication skills for working in teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Security Best Practices: Understanding of application security principles and best practices, including data encryption and secure coding techniques.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deploying applications.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Undergraduate in Software Engineering, Computer Science or 2+ plus years of experience developing applications.
- Experience working with the Azure cloud platform.
- Knowledge of Transportation EDI Transactions 204, 990, 214, 210.
- Experience with IoT, GPS.
- Proficiency with C# a plus.
- Ability to implement search functionality using Elasticsearch, including indexing, querying, and data retrieval a plus.
- Designing SQL databases and procedures a plus.
- Drayage, transportation, or logistics experience.
