Join Our Team as a Senior Software Engineer
DraftKings Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Sportsbook team in Dublin, Ireland. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing high-performance software using C# .Net Core and other cutting-edge technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, and MongoDB. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and architects to build scalable, reliable systems that handle millions of bets weekly, ensuring an exceptional experience for our passionate sports enthusiasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Systems and APIs: You will be responsible for developing systems and APIs that process two million bets daily, focusing on a large and passionate customer base of sports enthusiasts.
- Build Scalable Solutions: Design and implement scalable, highly reliable, and fault-tolerant solutions, continuously improving systems and swiftly responding to adverse behavior.
- Ownership and Development: Gain comprehensive knowledge of the Sportsbook system as part of a team that owns and develops specific services.
- Product Rollout: Quickly roll out products and contribute to live production, with the opportunity to see your work directly impact customers.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in object-oriented programming, preferably using C# or Java. Experience with Kafka is a plus.
- Testing Proficiency: Proficiency in writing and maintaining comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Cloud Computing: Familiarity with writing distributed systems within a Cloud Computing environment, such as GCP.
- Mentorship: Ability to mentor and develop engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and over-the-shoulder debugging.
