Job Overview
As a leading technology innovator, Qualcomm is pushing the boundaries of what's possible to enable next-generation experiences and drive digital transformation. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team working on the Edgewise platform. In this role, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate cloud edge software and applications that assist the world’s tier-1 cellular network operators with network automation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a group of talented engineers to provide innovative solutions to cellular network problems.
- Design and implement complex algorithms.
- Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable software systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software problems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience in designing and implementing complex algorithms and architectures using Java.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with microservices architecture.
- Experience working with big data applications using advanced SQL capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good To Have
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience working with Vertica or other column-oriented databases.
- Experience building optimizations and analytics modules.
