Discord is seeking a highly motivated and mission-focused Senior Software Engineer for our Core Product team, which is pivotal in enhancing the core functionalities of Discord, such as messaging, voice chat, user profiles, and app navigation. This role involves working across the full stack to develop impactful features that elevate the user experience, making Discord the premier platform for gaming and social interaction.
What You'll Do
- Build products with a high standard for quality and performance.
- Collaborate with teams across Product, Design, Data Science, UX Research, and Marketing to shape the vision and roadmap.
- Find balanced solutions that consider delight, speed of delivery, and impact.
Who You Are
- You have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building consumer-facing products on web and mobile platforms.
- You possess strong product sense and are meticulous about UX details.
- You are adaptable, willing to learn new languages and frameworks, and comfortable working across the full stack.
- You thrive in a collaborative environment, helping your team members succeed and learning from them.
Bonus Points
- Experience with React Native.
- Active user of Discord, familiar with its core features and user flow.
