This team is responsible for building a robust platform that sends billions of notifications daily, while also creating user experiences that allow users to control how they receive notifications. As a founding engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing a single pipeline that intelligently manages the delivery of notifications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build the Platform: Develop the infrastructure that enables all teams at Discord to send notifications that maximize user value.
- Product Development: Create delightful products with a high standard for quality, performance, and impact.
- Solution Finding: Balance delight, speed of delivery, and impact to find the right solutions.
What You Should Have
- Experience: 5+ years as a Software Engineer.
- Metrics Driven: Experience in metrics-driven teams or shared infrastructure.
- Full-Stack Flexibility: Comfortable working across the full stack, from backend to frontend.
- Product Sense: Strong product sense with attention to UX details.
- Team Player: Motivated to help team members succeed and grow through empathetic feedback.

- Notifications Experience: Experience building notifications or email orchestration systems.

Compensation
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000 to $201,500, plus equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level, with individual pay based on skills, experience, and education.
