Staff Software Engineer, Revenue Growth

As a Staff Software Engineer in the Revenue Growth team at Discord, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our technology and driving revenue through innovative products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Data Science, Design, and Marketing to align the technical strategy with revenue goals. Reporting to the Engineering Lead of Revenue Growth, your responsibilities will include:

Technical Leadership: Oversee the technical roadmap and collaborate with senior engineers and leadership to build it. Ensure technical alignment across various teams and products.

Product Development: Partner with product managers to strategize and execute on product initiatives that unlock new revenue streams. Use your deep understanding of software development to influence product direction and ensure engineering excellence.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization to ensure seamless integration and alignment of strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in advising the leadership on technical aspects and process improvements.

Mentorship and Growth: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth.
What You'll Need

7+ years of experience in software development with a strong understanding of development frameworks and fundamentals across multiple platforms including web (React, TypeScript), Android (React Native, Kotlin), iOS (React Native, Objective-C, Swift), and backend (Python and some Elixir).

Proven track record of leading large initiatives from inception to launch, particularly in building and shipping features for large-scale or real-time applications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to achieving exceptional results.

Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of working effectively across multiple teams.
