Position Summary

Are you ready to use your design and coding skills to solve real-life large-scale problems impacting millions of lives? Join Walmart as a Senior Software Engineer - Front-End, where you will play a crucial role in delivering key experiences for our Corporate Social Responsibility products.

About the Team

Our team embraces Open-Source technology using React-Native and React.js to build front-end mobile experiences and cloud-native backend services using Java/NodeJS. You will collaborate with talented engineers across our platforms, including mobile engineers, backend service engineers, UX Designers, and product managers.

What You'll Do

• Work with architects and development leads to document and develop best practices for application development and deployment.
• Design and implement user interface components for JavaScript-based web and mobile applications using the React ecosystem.
• Build app and UI components from prototypes and wireframes.
• Write automated tests to ensure error-free code and performance.
• Improve front-end performance by eliminating performance bottlenecks.
• Create front-end modules with maximum code reusability and efficiency.
• Predict application development requirements based on changes in underlying architecture.
• Analyze, design, program, debug, support, and modify software enhancements and/or new products.
• Partner with the IT Architect to ensure the accuracy of business cases and that solutions meet business needs.

What You'll Bring

• Over 7+ years of experience in building mobile & desktop user experiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of front-end design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong expertise in Front-end development using React and React Native.
• Experience in integrating analytics, Crashlytics, and measuring CPU and battery utilization for mobile applications.
• Expertise in creating functional automation testing using Appium or other open-source automation frameworks.
• Strong expertise in ReactJS and Redux technologies.
• Experience with cloud-native technology and CI/CD.
• Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to perform in a team environment.
• Passion for technology.
