About the Team

Join the People Technology and Services organization at Walmart, where we are committed to delivering associate-centric people experiences. We are embracing open-source technology using React Native and React.js to build mobile and web experiences, along with cloud-native backend services using Java and GraphQL. Our team collaborates with talented engineers across platforms, including mobile engineers, backend service engineers, UX designers, and product managers, to shape our roadmap for mobile and web experiences that delight our users.

What You'll Do

• Lead small groups of six to ten engineers in software development and design.
• Identify short- and long-term solutions and timelines.
• Review and approve proposed solutions and implement new architectural patterns.
• Perform design and code reviews of changes.
• Provide support for new and existing systems by responding to user questions and issues.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop solutions.
• Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and provide expert advice and guidance.
• Build relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Model compliance with company policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring

• Over 5+ years of experience in building mobile and desktop user experiences.
• Strong expertise in mobile development using React Native.
• Advanced knowledge of front-end design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Expertise in integrating analytics, Crashlytics, and measuring CPU and battery utilizations for mobile applications.
• Experience in creating functional automation testing using Appium or other open-source automation frameworks.
• Strong expertise in ReactJS and Redux technologies.
• Strong expertise in GraphQL.
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to create functional charts.
• Ability to multitask between several different requirements and features concurrently.
• Experience with cloud-native technology and CI/CD.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to perform in a team environment.
• A true passion for technology.
• Nice to have: Backend experience in Java or Node.js development.
