Position Summary

Join Walmart's eCommerce team as a Senior Data Scientist and be part of a rapidly innovating environment that is defining the future of shopping. You will work with massive business and social data generated by Walmart's unparalleled online and offline commerce.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on data exploration, processing, and analysis on massive data sets.
• Use machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning techniques to develop robust solutions for Spark Driver Fraud and Abuse use cases.
• Communicate results to stakeholders and present projects in internal or external conferences.
• Research and develop advanced algorithms and techniques to address complex business problems.
• Utilize broad and deep knowledge of Machine Learning and Software Engineering to contribute to the team's core machine learning capabilities.

What You'll Bring

• Solid background in machine learning, deep learning, statistical analysis, and software development.
• Proficient in data mining, machine learning, and deep learning packages in Python/Pytorch.
• Experience working with large data sets and cloud computing.
• Proficient in coding SQL, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• 4~6 years of related experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics-related field.
• Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year's experience in an analytics-related field.
• 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data science, machine learning, optimization models.
• Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics.
• Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
• Using open source frameworks (e.g., scikit learn, tensorflow, torch).
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
