Join Our Team as a Senior Software Engineer, Integrations
We are seeking a talented and experienced backend engineer to join our small, dynamic team at Glue. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in preparing our product for launch. Our technical stack includes TypeScript, Golang, GraphQL API, and PostgreSQL, providing a robust and battle-tested foundation for our development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Build Scalable Systems: You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems. Your expertise will help us identify system bottlenecks and optimize them with simple, maintainable solutions.
- API Development: Quickly define, implement, and test API endpoints. You will prototype implementations against these endpoints, focusing on enhancing the end-user experience.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the CEO/CTO and the rest of the Glue team to make early decisions and help set the direction of our developer platform, APIs, codebase, and team culture.
- Innovate and Experiment: We ship daily and experiment with new ideas and interactions. Your role will involve focusing on usability, attention to detail, performance, and innovation around optimal team communication.
Who You Are
- Experienced Backend Engineer: You have over 5 years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years in designing and maintaining production systems.
- Proficient in Typed Languages: You have at least 2 years of experience with typed languages such as Go or TypeScript.
- SQL Database Expertise: You have experience working with SQL databases at both the application and infrastructure levels.
- API Design and Maintenance: Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
- Self-Motivated and Independent: You are a self-starter who maintains side projects or libraries, which is a major plus.
