Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our frontend development team. As a key member of our early team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture and best practices of our frontend development. You will also be instrumental in building and nurturing a world-class engineering team to support Glue's ambitious vision.
Our challenges are heavily focused on UI/UX, and our technical stack includes modern TypeScript, React, and GraphQL. As a technical leader, you will help set the direction for our product, codebase, and team culture. We prioritize usability, attention to detail, performance, and innovation in team communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead the frontend development efforts, ensuring best practices and high-quality code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in existing systems and workflows.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong engineering team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of frontend web development experience, with at least 2 years using TypeScript and React.
- Deep understanding of web technologies, including the DOM, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with typed backend APIs such as GraphQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
