Senior Software Engineer - Python, Big Data
Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer at Integral Ad Science, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing the Total Visibility data pipeline. This pipeline is responsible for ingesting, correlating, aggregating, and outputting millions of events. You will be part of a small, focused team dedicated to delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and Design: Lead the architecture, design, and integration of core ad analytics products from end to end.
- Software Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire software lifecycle, including hands-on development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and agile work environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with the Product team and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and gather business and technical requirements from broadcaster clients.
- API Development: Research and develop solutions, including API development, to meet business deliverables.
- Priority Management: Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, exciting, and collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Education: BS in Computer Science or a related STEM degree.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on programming experience using Python.
- Big Data Expertise: 2+ years of experience working with big-data stacks, including Spark and Kafka.
- Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of Python and/or Java, including collections, multi-threading, and JVM memory model.
- AWS Proficiency: Experience with AWS tech stack, including EMR, Athena, EKS, and MSK.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Client Interaction: Prior experience in an external client and/or vendor-facing role.
- Leadership: Experience managing, leading, and/or mentoring a development team.
- AdTech Experience: Experience in AdTech and data pipelines.
