Job Overview
Cheerz.com is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Engineer to join our Core team in Paris. This role is pivotal in providing technical leadership across various teams and platforms without direct managerial responsibilities. You will act as a mentor and technical reference, helping to improve codebases and advance the skills of our developers.
Responsibilities
- Code Improvement: Lead efforts to make the codebase simpler, more modular, and more scalable. Ensure uniformity across platforms and adherence to best practices.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance on design patterns, architecture, and best practices. Help developers enhance their skills in these critical areas.
- Technical Leadership: Work closely with the CTO and other technical leads to define and implement high-impact technical projects. Ensure the strategic alignment of these projects with the company's goals.
- Collaboration: Engage with team leads and developers to design and implement key systems. Plan and coordinate the execution of these projects, ensuring they meet high standards.
- Innovation: Explore and advocate for the adoption of new technologies and processes as part of the company's R&D efforts.
Technical Stack
Our technical environment includes:
- Back-end: Ruby on Rails 7, PostgreSQL, Redis, Continuous Integration with RSpec & CircleCI, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible.
- Front-end: React 18.x, Typescript 5.x, Storybook, NX, Vite, SASS, React-query, Github Actions.
- Android: Android SDK, Kotlin, Coroutine, XML and Jetpack Compose, MVVM architecture.
- iOS: Swift 5, iOS 15 minimum, SwiftUI, async-await, MVVM-C, SPM, Kotlin Multiplatform.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: At least 8 years of software development experience with a strong background in both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Skills: Proficient in multiple programming languages and architectures. Demonstrated ability to implement best practices and lead technical teams.
- Attributes: Autonomous, rigorous, pragmatic, and pedagogical in your approach. Able to provide mentorship and lead by example.
