Role Overview
As a Senior Technical Lead at papernest, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative backend services that streamline and optimize the handling of household utilities and subscriptions for our users. Your primary focus will be on leading the development and maintenance of our backend systems using Python and related frameworks like Django, Django REST Framework, FastAPI, and Flask.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust backend systems using Python.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to backend developers.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of backend services.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement data protection and security measures.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement of our development processes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Technical Stack
Our technical environment includes Python, FastAPI, Django, Django REST framework, PHP for backend; Next.JS, React, Lit, Tailwind for frontend; and Nginx, PostgreSQL, Gunicorn, Docker, AWS for servers. Familiarity with these technologies will be crucial for your success in this role.
Ideal Candidate
- At least 5 years of experience in Python development, with proven expertise in frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Proficiency in both French and English.
