The Challenge
As a Senior TypeScript Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, extracting, and integrating real-time sports data from a variety of complex sources. You will collaborate with architects, tech leaders, and other engineers to innovate and refine data extraction frameworks, ensuring efficient handling of data streams. Your work will directly impact the speed and accuracy of data-driven decisions, influencing the future of Sportradar's products used by clients in the global sports business.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, extract, and integrate sports-oriented real-time data from various complex sources.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop and refine data extraction frameworks.
- Utilize advanced TypeScript and JavaScript skills to lead and guide the team in organizing optimal solutions.
- Advocate for clean code, clean architecture, and modern development practices such as TDD and pair programming.
- Stay updated with current best practices in your areas of expertise.
Required Skills
- Advanced TypeScript skills.
- Understanding of network protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and WebSockets.
- Hands-on experience in writing tests and designing scalable systems.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, EC2, VPC, ElastiCache, and MSK.
- Experience with web scraping tools like Puppeteer, Cheerio, or Axios.
- Experience with gRPC.
- Worked in Agile development teams.
