Job Overview
Lyric is seeking a highly skilled Staff DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. This senior role is pivotal in ensuring the security, efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure and related operations. You will be managing core AWS infrastructure in a sophisticated multi-account environment, directly impacting the efficiency of the business to deploy applications, maintain or reduce infrastructure costs, and accelerate the time-to-market for new products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, Implement, and Optimize: Design and implement cloud-based solutions leveraging industry best practices.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior engineers and drive continuous improvement and innovation across our DevOps practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and deploy robust, automated systems that support our organization's mission-critical applications and services.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Ensure the health of our cloud environment by identifying and resolving issues proactively to minimize downtime and incidents.
- On-call Rotation: Participate in the on-call rotation to support our infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience
- AWS Expertise: 8+ years of proven experience with AWS cloud. Experience with Azure and GCP is a bonus.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): 8+ years of experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Programming: 8+ years of production-grade coding experience with languages such as Bash, Python, and Golang for scripting and automation of services.
- Containerization: 8+ years of experience with containerization, the Docker ecosystem, and related tooling.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure and GCP.
- A solid grasp of cloud security and best practices, and an understanding of compliance standards such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
