Job Overview
Care.com is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Safety team as a Senior / Staff Full Stack Engineer. This role is primarily focused on backend development with some frontend responsibilities. You will work closely with partners in product management to understand business requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management to understand and implement business requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy, quality, performance, and completeness of work.
- Engage in backend development with a focus on Java and API design.
- Participate in frontend development using React and JavaScript.
- Utilize technologies such as GraphQL, TypeScript, Node.js, and Golang.
- Implement CI/CD practices to enhance code quality and speed to market.
Technologies We Use
- Backend: Java, Node.js, Golang

- Tools: GraphQL, Apollo, Jest, Enzyme, Webpack, Storybook

Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- 4+ years of experience with Java.
- 1+ years of experience with React.
- Strong knowledge of API design and development.
- Ability to thrive in a multi-site development team environment.
- Proficiency in testing, debugging, and monitoring your own code.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a bias towards action.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
Work Environment
This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT, and follows a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of on-site and remote work.

Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: €140,000 - €170,000 annually.
