Terraform Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Terraform Developer to join our team in New York, United States. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in DevOps, particularly with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure and Application Deployment: Utilize Docker and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment. Script infrastructure and application deployments using Terraform. Manage version control and repositories with Git/GitHub and Nexus Artifact Registry.

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Management: Design, build, and manage GKE clusters, including proxy management, failover, blue-green deployment, and application failover. Handle GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, and GCS Buckets. Implement networking solutions using GCP VPC concepts, proxy settings, routing tables, VPC peering, and load balancing.

• Automation and Scripting: Automate the creation and management of GCP resources using Terraform. Develop and maintain custom Terraform modules. Deploy applications using Ansible Tower, Jenkins, and Cloud Build.

• Process and Incident Management: Oversee release management, incident management, and production troubleshooting. Document processes, including ITSA processes. Manage work items using JIRA and handle ticketing through ServiceNow or GSD.

• Migration and Soft Skills: Lead migration projects from on-premises to GCP. Ensure data migration using protocols such as TCP/sFTP and Juniper. Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills. Be self-motivated and capable of driving work independently.
