Job Description
Position: AWS Java Fullstack Developer
Location: Reston, VA or Plano, TX (Hybrid 1-2 days a week)
Duration: 12+ Months with possibility of extension
Interview Process: Video interview followed by an in-person interview
Responsibilities
As an AWS Java Fullstack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java and AWS technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Python, and AWS services.
- Design and implement microservices architecture.
- Utilize AWS technologies such as S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, and ECS.
- Perform data engineering tasks including data warehousing, data security, and ETL processes.
- Create and use APIs for software development.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
- Present information and ideas clearly to stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
- Optimize performance and work with large data sets.
- Implement DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Terraform.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Java and Python programming languages.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud-based technology services.
- Experience with SQL and database management.
- Knowledge of Spring and Angular frameworks.
- Familiarity with Shell scripting and UNIX environments.
- Experience with data modeling, data architecture, and data governance.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with API Gateway, JSON, PARQUET, XML, Docker, Urban Code, Jenkins, GIT, and Oracle.
- Skilled in AWS Management and Governance suite of products such as CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or Systems Manager.
- Experience using JIRA for project management.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in AWS cloud-based technology services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
