Job Overview
GitHub is seeking a Corporate Solutions Engineer to join our team in Europe. This role is pivotal in providing both pre-sales and post-sales support to our rapidly expanding customer base in the EMEA region. As a Corporate Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for managing technical relationships with customers and prospects, working closely with sales and product development teams to design and communicate solutions that meet customer business needs.
Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Responsibilities
- Identify customer business requirements and align them with existing and future product features.
- Develop joint customer strategies with sales and professional services to drive product adoption.
- Conduct live demonstrations of GitHub Enterprise to prospective customers.
- Address GitHub product and technical questions, assisting customers in integrating GitHub with their existing development tools and workflows.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers, visit customers on-site, and serve as a technical point of contact.
- Educate prospects on product implementation and best practices.
- Gather customer feedback and advocate for customer interests within GitHub.
- Stay informed about internal GitHub initiatives, industry trends, and global developer collaboration tools.
Post-Sales Responsibilities
- Act as an intermediary between sales and technical teams to best meet customer needs.
- Communicate customer feedback to appropriate teams for future product strategy.
- Document technical considerations and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
- Support customers in adopting GitHub products.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Experience in sales/solutions engineering, presales, technical consulting, or system integration project management.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of Source Control Management (SCM) tools and workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large software development teams.
- Knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows.
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps best practices.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
