Freeletics is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Munich, Germany. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure to support our AI-based fitness and lifestyle coaching platform. Responsibilities
- Platform Management: Ensure our production platform is robust and resilient, maintaining availability 24x7.
- Scalability and Reliability: Improve platform scalability, deployment, and reliability to exceed 99.977% availability.
- CI/CD Best Practices: Implement and advocate for continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices across engineering teams.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the platform to generate insights and support troubleshooting efforts.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share operational knowledge with the engineering team and contribute to the community through meetups, blogs, and open-source projects.
Your Profile
- Experience: Substantial professional experience in environments supporting CI/CD, continuous testing, and infrastructure as code.
- Containerization: Experience with containerizing applications and CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
- Kubernetes Expertise: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and related tools (e.g., Helm, Istio, OPA).
- Cloud Environments: Experience with public cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and platform automation.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or Pulumi.
- Database Management: Strong knowledge in managing and tuning PostgreSQL servers.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with platform monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Scripting Skills: Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
- Communication: Excellent communicator and team player, comfortable working in an Agile environment.
- Language Skills: Good English skills; German is a bonus.
