• Reports to: SVP Engineering

Your Challenge at Wire

• Technical Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented SRE and DevEx engineers. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Site Reliability Engineering: Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our platform and services. Further develop and improve existing monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies.
• Developer Experience: Enhance the developer experience by streamlining existing development workflows, tools, and processes. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute a roadmap for Platform Engineering, aligned with company objectives. Stay current with industry trends and best practices, ensuring our technology stack remains cutting-edge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
