About SafetyKit
SafetyKit replaces human Trust & Safety reviewers with language models, offering a more cost-effective, accurate, and faster solution. Our tools help companies scale their review processes without the need for additional hiring. We have a growing list of clients, including Substack, Lime, Faire, and Upwork, and are actively piloting with other major marketplaces and payment providers.
Your Role
As a Founding AI Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining web scrapers, document ingestors, and LLM evaluation tools.
- Experimenting with and deploying new AI technologies quickly.
- Ensuring all systems are fast and reliable.
- Collaborating with a team of engineers to integrate new features and improvements.
Your Skills
- Proficiency in TypeScript or the ability to learn it quickly.
- Strong knowledge of Postgres and SQL.
- Experience with AWS services, including Lambda and Step Functions.
- Creative and careful thinking to solve complex problems.
- Excitement to work on-site in our San Francisco office five days a week.
Bonus Points
- Experience as an early or founding engineer at a startup.
- Familiarity with language models and vision models.
