Job Overview
Morgan Stanley is seeking a Lead JavaScript Developer to join our Fixed Income Strats team in Budapest. This role involves working on complex and challenging projects to drive transformative change within the Fixed Income Division and the broader Institutional Securities Group. Operating in an Agile environment, you will be responsible for building applications with modern technologies and frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of Technology Infrastructure: You will own the technology infrastructure for delivering data insights and key business metrics in the form of dashboards and reports to COOs and Business Management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, define problem statements, and lead software architectural designs.
- Hands-on Engineering: Act as a hands-on engineer and lead software development efforts.
- Team Leadership: Help in the effort of attracting and hiring top software engineering talent.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with JavaScript, React.js, and Node.js.
- Optional experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
- Extensive experience in commercial-grade application development.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Management and agile team lead experience is highly desirable.
